Absolutely. Given the shallow cover, grade does not have to be huge to create a open pit proposition that would be very good for BHP. Given their purchase of Oz and planned development of Oak Dam I expect that they will be looking to SA to grow their copper production in a big way.
They will still have the problem of the majority of the concentrates being too radioactive to move and the Olympic Dam smelter will not have capacity to process everything so a deposit producing lots of non radioactive concentrate will be more valuable to them then the standard valuation.
