Its a bit naive to suggest NST are only interested in gold. Perhaps across their operations but companies need to diversify in this economy..

Exposure to copper in coming years will do NST just fine and I am sure they know it. Caribou sits in the south of Alaska Range... and the copper grades are substantial enough to command some focus from management. I am sure PXX's largest shareholder is privvy and encouraging of the ongoing efforts.

There is plenty of gold up in Alaska Range - its just north east - so far almost a qtr of million ounces at decent grade and open... Excellent project IMO.

Lots of people tend to "get on early" but dont have the patience to hold long term, or simply fail to trade when they see a 100 - 300% gain dwindling .. Then the market does what the market does and they get caught in a longer term holding pattern and in turn get frustrated. Start blaming management etc etc.. Unfortunately at the end of the day it is on the investor..

Fine to be critical of management when it calls for it but exploration, and developing a resource takes time.. sometimes 5-10 years or longer.. If you dont want to commit to that, be prepared to trade in and out during volatility and swings.. For mine, current price represents a real opportunity, feels safe enough and looks like a true risk/reward scenario, heavily leaning to reward.
