The Americans are coming
Rick Pobjoy recently stated at the Resurgence Conference that ‘… the same style that has underpinned China’s massive Rare Earths industry, clay-hosted Rare Earths amounts for only 1% of their total resources, however, production from them is as much as 35%.’
If that’s true, then someone like AR3 is disruptive for the entire exChina REE industry because it has the capacity to take a big chuck of market share of what is a very small industry that needs better ESG pricing structures, ie, environmental, sustainable and tracable product. Whatever that slice of the pie for AR3 is, we still all need each other because the heavies (Tb and Dy) is dependent on clay-hosted which includes China’s own industries.
Very large forces are a play because rare earths is a pervasive-critical-mineral (not just critical-mineral) that has the potential to cripple every green modern industry if supply isn’t met at reasonable costs.
In this announcement, AR3 is not shy in being upfront to say that the Americans are coming and they 'welcome' it. That's because there is no other advanced REE wannabe that can deliver NdPr plus at the same time Dy and Tb in the world and still be considered 'domestic supply' for ESG savvy Americans.
