I've done a bit of an exercise and bulked up the entire interval reported, which includes internal dilution.
For the non-reported (barren, <0,3% Cu) intervals, instead of zero I've inserted the following geologically reasonable values:
0.10% Cu, 0.01g/t Au, 0.1g/t Ag, 2ppm Mo
I get:
From 794 to 856.65 metres:
62.65 metres @ 0.73% Cu, 0.20g/t Au, 1.9g/t Ag and 201ppm Mo
From 797.45 to 844.6 metres:
47.15 metres @ 0.97% Cu, 0.26g/t Au, 2.5g/t Ag and 267ppm Mo
These grades are sub-economic at that depth for any underground, bulk mining method except block caving. But so far this deposit doesn't have enough vertical extent for a block cave - I include the two unreported wedge holes in this assessment.
The same can be said of COD's sediment hosted deposit at Emmie Bluff. The grade just isn't their to support U/G mining at that depth, and it's way too thin.
Unless they can discover a thicker slab of much better grade Cu at depth (a la Oak Dam) both deposits will be staying in the ground for many years to come
