Contact Energy completes sale of gas metering business to Vector
Contact Energy advises that it has completed the sale of its gas metering
business to Vector group company, Advanced Metering Assets ("AMA"), for
NZ$59.9 million.
The deal, first announced on 25 October 2012, is part of an ongoing programme
at Contact to focus on its core businesses.
Dennis Barnes, Contact's Chief Executive said that "we are pleased to have
concluded this sale with Advance Metering Assets. AMA is a specialist
provider of metering services, which will ensure that our gas customers will
continue to receive a high quality service."
