ASSET: SEK: Seeka Sells Kiwi Produce Stake
Seeka Kiwifruit Industries Limited [SEK] advises the market that it has sold
its 25% shareholding in the locally based produce services business, Kiwi
Produce Limited. The purchaser is an entity controlled by the majority
shareholders in the Kiwi Produce Company - Geoff and Nicky Oliver.
Seeka Chief Executive Michael Franks outlined that the sale is a continuation
of Seeka's strategy in reviewing its asset holdings particularly in relation
to its investments in subsidiaries and associates. In 2014 Seeka sold its 20%
shareholding in OPAC. Mr Franks outlined that the Company continued to review
and reshape its asset holdings.
While the sale price is not disclosed, the sale is not expected to have any
material effect on earnings.
