Spark NZ acquires unused 2.3GHz spectrum

Spark New Zealand today announced it has agreed to acquire a 70MHz block of
2.3GHz spectrum from Craig Wireless and its related company Woosh Wireless
(NZ) Limited for NZ$9 million.

Chief Operating Officer Spark Connect, David Havercroft, said, "We were
interested in this spectrum as it is complementary to our other spectrum
holdings."

Completion of the acquisition is subject to all necessary regulatory
approvals, including consent from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and
Employment.
