It does occur to me though that when he says the schoolboys made representations regarding their pocket money, what might be more accurate is they made false representations. It was Tom’s failure not to recognise this at any point before it was too late in the day that the current situation was forced upon him after committing to the rig without due diligence ever being completed. However, that should not prevent BRU from examining these kids’ representations and taking legal action if they are found to have been legally obliged to fulfill their obligations. There are surely grounds to sue them to the tops?
