Will be waiting details but I reckon cornerstone partner and R&D funding, the deal struck was waive license fees on initial 5 unit order and subsequent 'standardization' if/when it occurs. How long this applies not sure. Doubt it would be indefinitely though. Do think it will end up being a very good deal for Astra Zeneca.
Agree the business model relies on license fees, that's where the margins are at. So in my opinion they are going to have to get another one or two Big Pharma deals over the next 1-2 years. However they have a technology that improves efficiency and eliminates human error, they have the connections, and now the validation and support of an industry giant. Now it just would help if plate reading automation by LBT becomes mainstream
