I don't agree- they are a hybrud LIC but the brickworks component although cylical does add to the value in my opinion. You get them for free because their cycle is deep and long so as market tends to be very short term looking - unless its all about growth- you tend to find investors looking to analysts who seem to have got hung up about reporting cycles.
I expect that after this hump in capital investment and consolidation of the USA and the Australian factories we will start to see an uptick in earnings from yhe brickworks. I see the USA investment as a very material source of earnings into the future.
