In short, ISX told us of these negotiations in May 2020, therefore it is safe to assume the discussions between ISX and VISA had been going on at least from the beginning of the year. Note in the section "what happened in this timeframe?", I express my confusion as to why ASX was asking questions over all parts of ISX's business and I wonder if they are doing it "in the hopes of finding something". We now have had it confirmed that they didn't have any hard facts 24 hours before the suspension and that they were in fact fishing in many areas.
