You guys have probably gone through this before, but as the weather and river levels are beyond control, just how much coal can realistically be barged down stream from the mine each year ??
Like how many and what size barges can be used.
And roughly how long would a round trip take to load, unload at the isp and return back ready to load
Cokal were talking 800t barges in an Ann last year. If they have 10 barges and it’s a 10 day trip then 800t a day average.
And if the river levels are only ideal for around 4 months. Say 120 days of 800t works out at 96000t
I don’t know the real figures but just How much do they need to be profitable I wonder.
All this talk of barging and river levels and bridges raises a lot of questions of just what is possible.
    Food for thought

    Cheers
