the main benifit of having vmware and keeping adding big vendors (especially cloud vendors) is to expand the portfolio so that dd resellers can build comprehensive solutions from one single distributor, in that case, dd will have more customers
nowadays, resellers are not easy to make money by just reselling things, most of them have to provide it solutions to end users instead of just selling hardware and software. helping resellers buid their solutions is what dd is happy to offer, they've been offering quite a lot free training courses of different vendors to dd resellers, this is also one of the reasons why dd is doing better than the other distributors
