yes it does mean that.. the use of the word 'consultation' means that the interaction was not significant (as would otherwise be described) and should not be overplayed..

ASX: hey we are thinking of suspending shares for reasons X Y and Z, do you have any thoughts?
ASIC: makes sense based on what we've seen so far

that discussion means it can be described as 'in consultation with'.

the ASX have not said that the decision to suspend was done "upon request from" or "under the direction of" ASIC - which is what ISX holders keep trying to say was put forward by ASX as the reason
