Note the wording, it doesn't say they will update the market if these won't be formalised within the above timeframe. It just says "no longer considers these partnerships will be formalised."
Theoretically, given no update that specifically says anything to the contrary, NOR still considers that the Big 4 Bank deal will be formalised at some point. They never said it won't. They can easily do the same for Oracle. Eg. December 10th 2020: "Oh we here at NOR still consider that the partnership will be finalised one day." It's based on what they consider, not what is factual. The Big 4 Bank clearly isn't happening, but the market has never been told so. The Visa deal was never killed either, we were just told to "remove revenue expectations until further notice".
Also note:
"Norwood considers that, based upon the current status of discussions and the reasonableexpectations of management, it is likely that these partnerships will be formalised in the future.Based on the current status of discussions, Norwood anticipates that formalisation of onepartnership is likely to occur in the current (September 2019) quarter and formalisation of the secondpartnership is likely to occur within the following quarter."
Q: On what basis NOR stated, in the December Quarterly Report, that the partnerships wereexpected to be formalised during that quarter?
A: "Norwood made the statements in the December Quarterly Report based on the reasonableexpectations of management as to the status of discussions at the time of the report, includingpositive discussions advanced during January 2019"So they're estimating, based on the status of discussions and expectations of management... BUT, they estimated Q1 2019 based on the same factors... So I wouldn't necessarily put much faith in anything being formalised this quarter. Not saying it won't happen. It would be rather silly of NOR to put the expected timelines in an ASX Query response given the Query was about missed deadlines/misleading timelines. But the wording they have used implies they are basing their current timeline on the exact same factors that led to the missed/misleading timeline last time.
