Sadly the longer U r around 'investing' this 'kind of crap' becomes the more common experience to varying degrees.

Toothless tigers, (and underfunded to be fair), in ASIC roles and elsewhere, an ASX system which actively promotes / condones non-fair playing fields, and a raft of political legislators for whom it is all beyond their personal comprehension, (TRUE!), or worse still expedient to let it slide down the road to another generation to address.

In terms of what we are seeing here, I have to say the opportunity is all to enticing for some who I imagine enter Directorship / management of public companies as honest people, but become corrupted along the way.

In other cases, without a skerrick of doubt the already corrupt enter because they can see the opportunity to gain. Which brings me back to those above, who are supposed to be policing, deterring and prosecuting offences.
