Simple really, finance will flow to the most efficient option, which isn't PEK @ $130kg pa NdPr, but it is in front of ARU @ $180kg, if that's any consolation.
These legacy plants are dinosaurs, we are on the cusp of full process being developed <$50kg, that can grow incrementally with end mkts and at start up have operating costs equivalent or perhaps slightly better than what Lynas will achieve after 7yrs building & optimising scale @ 25ktpa, adding the last 1962tpa NdPr @ A$17.80kg BTW.
