IIRC in FY21, EQT expended at least $1.5 million exploring potential M & A transactions, none of which occurred.
Assuming this latest proposal is a good cultural fit with the dignified and trustworthy EQT, is at a reasonable earnings multiple, has a stable history and preferably that it's soon to be earnings accretive, it'll be pleasing that EQT in its highly specialised fields has finally found a suitable candidate.
Is this a result of Mr O'Brien's trip to the UK? Or (as is more likely) a local acquisition of a smaller trustee entity?
EQT has struck me as a potential takeover target so great that it's presumably about to sensible expand.
