What are they doing?
Quite simply they are telling whatever porkies they can to stay close to the site of the next financial pickup.
They may as well be here with a chance of one more roll in the R&D trough as out in the dole queue where all other non competent managers go.
Further to that, performance has been so questionable that to leave the company now would possibly provide the fuel for an investigation. Probably the second biggest reason for them still hanging in there.
