Sorta funny. Generally speaking these potential investor lunches are a bit of a wheeze as I’ve been to a few in my day (when I was once a sophisticated investor). These were held at the Mitre Tavern in Melb where my financial advisor (3rd rate like Spark & Xep) cobbled together a bunch of people seeking a free wine /beer/feed and happy to invest 90min of their time & receive a few pages of glossies. No promises & no commitments. These guys are batting minor league & not where we need to be. Seriously MD needs to improve the calibre of advisors - irrespective of previous long standing relationships.
