Yep increasing tariffs are a completely archaic way of stimulating your economy.
Nobody does that crap anymore. We know better than anyone that increased tariffs will just prolong the inevitable and at the same time divert valuable govt funding into uneconomic sectors of the economy.
Anyway, the dallian is only slightly down. At least we've had the AUD drop 2% this week to balance things out.
