iCash ATM Completes Witham Lab Final Evaluation
Sydney 10 November 2008 – iCash has received final evaluation reports from Witham Laboratories related to a new ATM device designed by iCash and built by its manufacturer in Korea. Witham Laboratories is the leading independent provider of hardware and software security evaluations in the Asia/Pacific region.
Witham Laboratories concluded that using aggressive and destructive techniques of analysis, they found no feasible methods for recovering clear online PINs and that the device would exceed APCA requirements.
iCash has submitted this report to APCA so its device can be included in the CECS approved device list.
Consumer Electronic Clearing Stream standards (CECS) establish minimum technical, operational and. security standards by which APCA members agree to participate in ATM interchange processing.
iCash is proud of this achievement and acknowledges the significant international team effort in accomplishing this result.
Whist the device was designed primarily to give iCash an advantage in Australian and New Zealand deployment, the high quality design and integrated security features will provide the platform of other devices built for other regional markets.
