In layman terms does it mean if I bought 20,000 SBM share at $0.56 ($11200) and I received 5,013 GMD shares for it whose cost base now will be $0.3014 ($1510.92) So new cost base now for SBM shares is ( ($11200 - $1510.92 = $9689.08) ?. Does it sound right?
Any expert advise?
I know my tax consultant will sort out at year end just want to know if I understood it correctly.
