Indeed, big boys are looking to secure as much copper as they can swallow.
You will also recall that Oz Minerals recently did a deal with Havilah Resources for their Kalkaroo copper deposit for a $18m upfront payment, and up to $400m to secure the project. Around 1 m tons in the ground.

Presume the GLN deal is the 'mezzanine finance' Baz talked about. So it is now just the $190m senior debt to go. This appears to be very close as the announcement alludes.
