Spozzie, irrc, the issue with the initial run of wafers was that the voltage required to drive the MEMS chip was higher than the ASIC driver could provide. This was unexpected and was traced to a fabrication issue with the MEMS chip. This has been rectified apparently, allowing lower voltages to drive the MEMS chip, within the capabilities of the ASIC.
