A former Port Adelaide Football Club president will now chair the board of a $28 billion superannuation fund.
Greg Boulton has been appointed by the Governor of South Australia as presiding member (chair) of Super SA.
He has been appointed for a period of one year, replacing Annette Hurley.
Boulton served as president of Port Adelaide Football Club for 16 years from 1992 to 2008. In 2010 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to Australian Rules, the South Australian community and business.
Super SA said Boulton brings a deep knowledge of the superannuation sector, having previously sat on the board of Statewide Super.
"Greg brings a wealth of experience to Super SA, including insights from private sector super fund management, which will invigorate our team," Super SA chief executive Dascia Bennett said.
"The board and I are really looking forward to working with Greg to achieve our strategic goals for members and the fund."
Boulton also sits on the boards of Cancer Council SA, Southern Gold Limited, Kogi Iron and Kangaroo Island Plantation Timbers.
