id be very interested also to see the bad debt ratios between subscription users vs non-subscription users.
also imo the subscription fee has an added bonus of customer loyalty vs other bnpl. ie why use zip if I'm already paying for SZL. (note Afterpay is also introducing a pay anywhere option for a monthly fee in AU, I'd expect if successful to be rolled out in USA)
Straight out fees to the customer (like zip usa on every purchases) make for very little loyalty and customers will eventually click to how expensive it is and simply move to a competitor.
