As one would hope, AZJ's intermodal trains on the east-west Melbourne to Perth transcontinental line are back to reasonable loadings, although I don;t know how many wagons lacked containers on each train.
On Tuesday 14 May, the Perth-bound departure passing through the Geelong, Victoria area had 56 wagons.
The Thursday 16 train conveyed 86 and the Saturday 18 train 69.
The Friday 17 train that only runs to Port Pirie (with loading then attached to a Sydney-Broken Hill-Perth train) had what seems to be the stock standard 31 wagons. To have more might see the train across the Nullarbor exceed the maximum 1800 metre length.
