    As promised, someone posted a video of Saturday 1 July 2023's Melbourne to Perth AZJ train.

    The train had the equivalent of about 60 double length 12.2 metre containers when it passed through Gheringhap (near Geelong, Victoria). This is equal to about 120 TEU i.e. what were once the standard: 6.1 metre containers.

    It has about 12 wagons devoid of containers, so that's about 17 per cent, better than AZJ suggested.

    According to the Australian Rail Track Corporation's revised working timetable (it calls these 'Master Train Plans') of 9 July 2023, the AZJ westbound train stables in Adelaide for almost 10 hours enjoying the sun on Sundays. This suggests extra loading (probably double stacked i.e. one container on top of another, as there aren't any low road or pedestrian bridges, or tunnels, between Adelaide and Perth) is attached, but I've not seen a video to confirm:
