This video was compiled two weeks ago today, and depicts the second weekly (Tuesdays, whereas the initial one departed on Saturdays) Melbourne-Perth Team Global Express intermodal train operated as per the TGE contract.
One can't guarantee it'll recur every week, but this train has only six wagons (platforms) devoid of containers, or 7.59 per cent.
That's far better than AZJ's initial aim to have only 70 per cent of the train loaded with TGE containers. It suggests AZJ has already acquired other clients:
Nothing better than photographic evidence, hey? We can assume this 'extra' freight is not being carted across Australia for free.
So far, pretty good, with the timeliness of these intermodal trains also excellent, beyond my expectations. But it's early days.
