The Australian Government has a comity that went to a legal expert last year asking for a report as to what is holding up MM in this country. The report says (IMO, basically) that there is too much red tape, the laws in place need to be changed because they don't allow progress and it's poorly organised (like, how couldn't they work THAT out themselves??!! We needed a comity and an expert to get that clear???). The Government responded (IMO again) with: Hmmmmmmm.

So the comity has now asked Australia to make there submissions to the comity and the comity will create a report in late March (if it's not postponed).

Meanwhile, Australians in desperate need of MM for their health and well being are finding access difficult (although it has become easier) and expensive. Why? Because no MP wants to take up the cause because it may be the ruining of their own career(s). All IMO.

IMO the current Government is stalling until the next election and/or something to happen in the USA or Canada with MM that will effect public opinion enough that conservative Australia will deem it acceptable. We've already discussed the opioid crisis but conservative Australia deems that to be acceptable (as the highly regarded Medical Doctors are the ones dishing it out). Madness and stupidity in equal doses. Again all IMO.
