SLC now appears too expensive in the short term given current market cap comparison to ABB and any takeover premium that would be required would be on top of this IMO. The expectation of further offers might be inflating SLC a little so ABB might need the dust to settle. I think the industry will still consolidate and ABB might need to look elsewhere in the short term to build out their business and I suspect that SLC will do similar given they lost out to ABB for SYM last year and seem to be more bullish on their own prospects. All IMO.
