Excellent choice of replacement. Kudos to Rothwell for moving aside to enjoy his retirement, after building Austal into what it is today. The change will imo also assist any M&A activity, as the new chairman will have a much more independent view of the business. Spencer’s arrival clearly also cements further US defence contracts.
