Recently Hanhwa Group bought a US based shipbuilder Philly Shipyard in Ph. So imo, I am not sure they still interested in buying Austal.
South Korea's Hanwha Group has agreed to acquire Philly Shipyard, a Norwegian-owned U.S. shipbuilder in Philadelphia, for $100 million. The South Korean defense and shipbuilding group said Friday that the 100% stake in Philly will be bought by two of its affiliates, Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Ocean. (source; marketwatch.com)
