Just in case people are not aware, Anglo American has had significant problems with another of its Australian assets - the underground Grosvenor coal mine near Moranbah in Central Queensland which has had another fire (previous one in 2020) and is currently not operating.

It seems to me that this fire would substantially delay any disposal of that Australian asset by AA and reduce its sale price.
Will this mean:
a. AA will need to dispose of Groote Eylandt share sooner so that it can keep its announced asset disposal plans on track; and
b. AA is more inclined to think "bloody Australia / bloody Colonials" and want to get out of Groote Eylandt even sooner before they have to contribute more $$ ?
