as for "made up", pretty sure you're all capable of finding these social media groups which are the psuedo-official comms on island, it makes no sense that people on island would be making things up as they stand to lose the most from any layoffs or forced leave that might have to be enacted if delays are such to get back up and running. But by all means go and find these sources yourselves, if they don't let you join that'd be a bit of an alarm bell in its own right.
