The thinking is that the gsl panels will be cheaper per watt than silicone, however the cost of silicone panels and others are continuosly dropping in cost .
Efficiency is important but some of the most eficient panels are also incredibly expensive and only used on satelites etc .
On the other hand The lesser the efficiency the more space they take up and the more materials tgey need as backing and sealing- unisolar amorphous panels are a good example of a respected technology that were unable to compete
Solar is a cutthroat buisness , IMO gsl really needs to up the efficiency or they face being priced out of the market b4 they ever get to mass production , but thats just my opinion others will disagree and at the same time i also remain an optomistic shareholder
