Dude, in the end, you can do everything right but there is still an element of luck with these kinds of companies.
Its clear that if you look at their efforts objectively they are doing a lot of things pretty well.. % of $ put into the ground, plenty of drilling and action over the different sites and minerals etc etc this topic has been covered ad nauseum on here so Im not going to repeat it again. Im sure you know it. Its not a lifestyle company by any measure.
In terms of luck, well despite the good luck of finding the rare earths, we had the bad luck of an untimely reversal in rare earth prices and sentiment, so we took a sentiment hit but the fact is that that was a success, it aint DT's fault that the RE price dumped. The decision to go ahead with the RE's at the time, given the information available was probably a good one. Fact is, we still have that asset and it aint going anywhere until its going to benefit us, and it will eventually.
Prices wont stay down forever. They seem to be improving now and probably have some good tailwinds thanks to the Inflation reduction act amongst other things. The yanks are pouring half a trillion dollars into that to help push green tech, which has a huge bearing on the demand of what we are looking for..This, in conjunction with the trend away from globalisation towards"freind shoring" puts australian rare earth producers in a pretty good position to benefit. The yanks have stated that Australia is one of their preferred partners. China loves to play games, manipulate and has a history of doing it with these resources. The yanks are now looking for alternative supplies that are not so fickle and potentially tenuous in uncertain times. The worm may not have turned yet but its approaching the intersection, its resting its food on the brake and its turned on the blinker. You just have to be patient, it will eventually turn. None of this is groundbreaking news but if you look just a bit further ahead than your toenails there are plenty of reasons to be positive.
Yes, the POG could go up or down. Just like rare earths, nickle and everything else. But it hasnt gone down. In fact its at all time record highs and looking to go higher if you ask the readers of the technical tea leaves, not to mention those who analyse the fundamentals, let alone common sense joe bloggs obervations of world turmoil etc.. but in any case, with any of the commodites or actions DRE are searching for or working on you seem to want to assume the worst. Gold at all time highs, and thrusting higher, you say.. BUT IT MIGHT GO DOWN.. Rare earths at lows.. BUT MIGHT GO LOWER despite some green shoots of hope.. Dean is progressing some deals and JV's etc.. BUT WHERE ARE THEY, THEY HAVENT HAPPENED YET?.. we have found some results for niobium, phosphorus and antimony..BUT OTHER SIMILAR COMPANIES SHARES HAVE GONE UP MORE..
FFS dude. All companies go up and down. This is a volatile sector, during a relatively unfavourable period Yes there has been some optimistic promotion but what do you expect. People would be calling for blood if there was anything less. If you take of the polish of the presntation there still is actually something solid and worthwhile underneath it all. If you really think the company and its prospects are as bad as you portray, why do you remain a holder? Get the hell out before it all collapses.
Things like the JV's etc have a lot of back and forth negotiation so its perfectly reasonable that they may be taking this long. They may or may not happen, but I have no doubt that they are not BS and if successful in the form that they were presented could take a lot of pressure off the dilution etc freeing up the company with some cash flow to further chase the big discoveries we all want. We have had a lot go against us in recent times. It only takes a bit of a change for a few of those things to swing this around and go the right way, let alone some major positive news which could put us at a much higher valuation than we are now.
As a shareholder we are all Dreadnought team members. Thats how I like to look at it. This is why Im always bemused by those shareholders that hang around like hemorrhoids, taking a fairly constant negative view and effectively attacking other members of the team who are trying hard to turn the tide. Fair enough have a differing point of view, some critique. DRE is not perfect but let DT know if youre not happy, he's pretty receptive to questions and comment, but otherwise why the hell hang around moaning without action? Its like shooting yourself in the foot, it wont increase the share price one bit..
Not the smartest thing to do really.
