IMF is one of the most botted shares on the ASX from my experience. Trying to make entries or exits on technical analysis has left me with egg on my face on numerous occasions over the last 4 years.
I just buy and sell on fundamentals now and try 'work' with the manipulators. Eg yesterday I went in pretty big after that announcement when the bots were clearly trying to suppress the SP to accumulate. That $28M profit was one of the largest profits on a case that I can remember over the last 2 years. Should have moved the SP much more, IMO.
Not sure if the recent SP rise was in anticipation of that news but certainly many goals kicked this quarter compared to any in the last 3 years. So we should be seeing some rerating coming about over the next week or two where the bots will give up fighting the momentum.
