The MRFF has just (3 weeks ago) published its new priorities for 2020-2022. Might explain why there has been some delay. That is, the assessment of the Stage 2 Frontiers grants could not be finalised until the new priorities were finalised.
The priorities are based on extensive engagement with stakeholders which has occurred concurrently with assessment of the Stage 2 grant applications.
The priorities are an exciting read because what the ASA is doing, its target populations, and how it is structured (with its multi-sector, global reach) are ALL consistent with the published priorities.
It's almost as if the ASA anticipated the priorities and customised its approach to be consistent right across the board.
