granted i don't particularly see this being a huge issue, there's still a market for them. and perhaps with different battery pack configurations we could still get enough power out of them. the packs might just need to be larger in volume to get the required power. positively, this would also mean additional capacity as a side-effect

like if a liion battery output a certain voltage and current, for us to achieve the same voltage and current, we would need additional cells in parallel. making our battery pack large in size, but way bigger in energy capacity?
