Hey Luke. Could be a bit of that going on. ROG was lucky to get that run - it was purely on top of the 88E announcement hype. Nothing at all specific to ROG. Getting a speeding ticket proves this, haha - the ASX were suss about it. But hey, profit can easily be made on an illogical market, haha. So well done to you - on both your investments. BAS is definitely flying under the radar. It had an announcement (this thread). A new drilling opportunity. Bang. Ok, may not be to the same scale of Merlin, but what BAS has in Indonesia is proven - it doesn’t have the speculation / risk of “false lead” that Merlin has..... 88E has had a few let downs in the past. But retail is taking 88E higher purely on this Merlin speculation. God forbid if they’re wrong.
I’m very surprised BAS hadn’t jumped before I found it, and jump big time - the market hype AND a new drilling program. But I’m not complaining - it’s nice to find one hiding in the shadows......... for once.
I need to read more, but at the end of the day mgmt need to keep the market informed with regular updates with this new drilling program. As a shareholder I expect it and will email mgmt if it’s not released. Looking at 88E again, they’ve released a few operation updates over the past week - to keep the push going. And it’s working.
It’s still early days for BAS (in terms of the new drilling program), but with regular announcements / updates of this new drilling program it will continue to push forward slowly - hopefully not with the same intensity that the current market hype is showing..... They need to keep shareholders interested, so I’m sure they will.
