Future ABA DPS estimates for 2025 & 2026 have been slashed by brokers.
DPS no longer forecast to return to 2023 levels in either year.
Presumably due to margin pressure & slower housing sector due to interest rates being higher for longer?
Better news reported today that the big 4 are expected to pay higher divs due to bad debt write backs this year.
CBA to lift bonus caps for mortgage team to target Macquarie who are stealing their market share.
So maybe CBA are going to use their write backs to pay for greater market share?
Looking like a longer recovery for smaller banks like ABA
