Nice stories.......rolleyes.png How about this one .....
Interesting article from 11th August 2020 ( Below ) highlighting Propulsion Quebec FIRST major tie-up Partner with a private Industry player.

Remembering that back in April 2020 Bret Lynch made these following comments which would appear to underscore this recent move by Propulsion Quebec :-

" While Western Australia is looking to build itsown EV supply chain hub,Lynch said Quebecsits with Australia in dominating hard-rocklithium deposits globally "

" Lynch believes that Quebec has the edge as itis "more hands on," driving industrydevelopment "hard and fast, with very clearpolicies of exploiting the maximum value addfrom its unique resource."

" Sayona expects a trend of automakers localizing lithium-ion batterymanufacturing to their EV assembly plants to accelerate amid thelogistical slowdown caused by COVID-19 and noted that U.S.automakerGeneral Motors Co.recently outlined plans to source lithium and nickelfrom North America for a new range of EVs. "

And he'd be correct on ALL these observations including the COVID-19 induced ' rationale ' as GM’s EV investment currently sits at $3 billion annually and further supported with additional production due to begin in fall 2020 at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant, the company’s first plant just for EVs.

And GM would be right to be optimistic since there’s pretty much nowhere to go but up for the EV industry at the present moment with the market last year for electric vehicles being only 330,000 in the US out of 17.0 million light vehicles sold or 1.9 percent

So GM is staking all it's massive investment on a big uptick in demand for EVs – whether voluntary, helped by tax incentives, or mandated because of concerns about climate change. So this deal with Attrix and Propulsion Quebec in my view shows just how serious Quebec is and that matters are at least moving in the right direction - albeit slower that we would all like .
