The battery factories are being built, Tesla cannot meet projected production figures right now (for batteries as well as cars), at present EV output is a small fraction of projected figures and there is already shortfall in Co supplies.
This will get crazy in the next few years, some here may remember RF & SR told Tesla they would not be locked into a contract for Co supply unless it was at market price (that happened sometime last year I believe).
I have read that at current projected consumption rates we will run out of known reserves of Co within 15 years.....some are saying 10 years.
It all makes you think the price of Co will go north.
