Unlike mikez I dont think the adoption of technol0gy will take decades it will be virtually instantaneous.
The automotive industry after decades of head in sand collectively woke up to change in the last 3 years.They are now loaded with innovators and will not be wishing to play catchup and risk being outplayed by Musk and the chinese again.Weldable high strenth Al alloys go hand in hand with with EVs.The new thinkers in the EV automotives will accept technology change a lot quicker .
our costs of production are very low .Capital costs of solvent extraction and the solvent .So marginal cost of 50k per ton????(Flippa help here this is just pulled out of my head.) So in rough terms before depreciation amortisation etc an extra 60 mill onto the p and l or 25 % of the current market cap
Metalysis leads the world in scandium alloy technology.More patents than you have had breakfasts this year.Their super alloy already reduces cost presumably by the increased efficiency and the advantages of using concentrate at 15 time s the strength.At a scandium price of 40% will it become unavoidable.?
If we can convert our research agreement to offtake and lets face it you gotta think we would be front runners to get into bed with the people who lokk likely to be the price makers in a very exciting new market
So well done to BB .Has taken the ball to inside the 50 and has a clear goal in front .This is going to be a huge goal.
Some other thoughts from the shower
To the folk who thought this needed coca cola style marketing or some other smoke and mirrors marketing - this is the best marketing and it is pemanent - the creation of wealth.He can stand up with his fly undone or naked from the waist as far as I am concerned just so long as he kicks goals like this.
This is what he was doing when some wanted to get rid of him for a few careless words in a report
Also thanks to the mods for cleaning this site up at both ends was getting really tedious and we seem to have meaningfull discussion coming through

I got it wrong in my original post.The $ 1000 a kg was not because BB had anticipated a price reduction to ensure mass uptake It was the current price of scandium oxide which is sold at one third of the price of near pure scandium.Apologies for not checking everything before I posted .So am left wondering what an acceptable price for mass uptake is
