It is specifically Vitamin E acetate that has been linked to the outbreak of lung disease (EVALI) following cannabis vaping.
Vaping nicotine (minus Vitamin E acetate) can also lead to lung disease and death.
The CDC recommends that the best way to avoid potentially harmful effects is to not use THC-containing e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
That would suggest that responsible use of edibles (such as gummies) should be favoured over vaping.
