@Barry81 with regard to JDC, I have a couple of comments.

Firstly, at 8%, Avenira is a minority shareholder. That means, despite what some other commentators on HC may think, this it is not "our" company to do what we like with, nor is AEV's opinion or objectives relevant if it comes to a vote on any resolution put to the company's board. Even if we rocked up with $10 million in hand, to progress further trials and commercialisation, doesn't mean that it would get accepted.

Which brings me to my second comment.

My speculation the status of JDC would-be, that the lack of progress has got everything to do with the "politics" of ownership, rather than the availability of funds to progress commercialisation of the technology.

I believe that the family of the late Dr Joe Megy, still own a major share of JDC. Whether it is 50% or not I don't know, but I believe it to be substantial.

It is possible that the Megy family are having difficulty coming to terms with the difference between inventing something and using other people's money to commercialise it.

So it could be that there is money available, but that the terms are either unacceptable to the, "would be" new partner, the Megy's or the other existing shareholders.

For example, if everyone is prepared to be diluted pro-rata, by an incoming party, then a deal should be easy to do. However, if one of the existing parties thinks that they should not be diluted, but that the others should, then there is likely to be an impasse! Probably one that will only be resolved when it becomes too painful to do nothing.

As I said, purely my speculation.

I believe that the most valuable aspect of AEV's shareholding in JDC are the exclusive licenses to use the technology, both in Australia and now Senegal.
