The following leads me to believe that Avita will bridge the gap between Revenues and Expenses within the next 6 months. For the current quarter, and while trying to be conservative, we should be looking at around $14M revenue and around $25M expenses for a gap of $11M. There is recent evidence that this gap could well be less than $11M, based on the doubling of procedures in August compared to July.

One way of looking at how quickly this gap will be closed is to calculate how many additional units need to be sold by the 40 new sales reps employed by late Q1'FY23. They should already be at an average sale rate of around 5 units per month based on previous comments by Avita.

What will the 40 new sales reps need to sell to bridge this $11M per quarter gap?:

$11M / $6,500 / 40 / 3 = 14 additional units per month for these 40 new sales reps, for an average total of 19 units per month.

Avita has previously guided that these new sales reps should reach an average sale rate of 20 units per month in "well under 12 months", or by around March 2024. This guidance does not allow for any further increase in sales rates by the 30 experienced sales reps, or higher levels by the new sales reps. Recell Go should cause these efficiency rates to rise above 20 due to the minimal input by sales reps into the re-supply of replacement disposable cassettes for the already installed Recell Go base units. If this does eventuate within the next 6 months, then revenues should easily exceed expenses.
