It's the same with doctors the world over. I have a number of them in my family and it's been a laugh at dinner tables for many decades. One of the last great rorts for one of the worlds oldest professions. Some parts of me a jealous my industry doesn't do these any more, but as a shareholder, it's not that 'wonderful'. Rats and mice in the overall scheme of things, but the principal still gets my goat.
